Drinking water problems can be complex. Why? Because they can be hard to address when:
- The water coming into your facility is not safe
- Hidden pipes and fixtures in your facility’s water system contain lead or copper
- It’s crucial to get the balance of chemicals right to treat your water, not too much and not too little, or it could make people sick
That’s why rectifying your drinking water issues requires professional analysis, diagnosis, and treatment. At EWS, that’s what we do. We take the time to find out the cause and source of your problem and recommend the best, most cost-effective course of action to keep your facility’s water compliant and safe. Here’s how:

We know our water treatment system is being maintained in a sound, safe, and reliable condition…
“Our medical center needed to become a water treatment facility as a result of installing a chlorine dioxide system to mitigate Legionella bacteria from our building’s water supply. That’s when we first met the EWS team. Their lead technician provided valuable insight and guidance in setting up our site, training our staff, and getting them certified to draw and sample our water. This was essential to obtaining and maintaining our EPA License. The EWS team is also certified as a water treatment ‘Operator of Record’ to meet EPA requirements. Additionally, when lead and copper were detected in our water system, EWS found and collaborated with an engineering firm to render a sound solution. With EWS we know our water treatment system is being maintained in a sound, safe, and reliable condition. They ensure that all required documentation is current and submitted to the EPA. EWS is a very reliable company with technicians who are devoted to providing quality service, guidance, and assistance. They provide a valuable interpretation of local, state, and federal water system regulations. I would favorably recommend them for all water treatment compliance requirements.”

Client success story: lead and copper in high school drinking water
A high school contacted us after bi-annual EPA testing of their water resulted in higher-than-acceptable limits of lead and copper in their drinking water.
Lead and copper are detrimental to health, especially for small children, pregnant women, and high-risk individuals.
Our team immediately discussed the problems with the school’s principal. We then contacted the OEPA to discuss the plan that would address the test results. From thorough analysis and investigation, the lead-lined cooling tanks in the drinking water fountains were the issue. These were immediately taken out of service, and appropriate testing was conducted both before and after new drinking fountains were installed.
We developed a drinking water treatment plan and liaised between the OEPA and the school’s appointed officials.
As a result of this work, the school now has acceptable lead and copper levels along with compliant THM and HAA5 levels. Most importantly, it has safe and quality drinking water for the students, teachers, and the public.
